The Film Fund offers two types of funding: Film Fund 1 (£3,000) for general production or post-production costs, and Film Fund 2 (£7,000+) specifically for paying cast and crew hired from the London Film & TV Job Fair. The maximum funding per filmmaker is £5,000.

Submissions are reviewed by a panel of judges, and shortlisted filmmakers are interviewed and pitch their projects to executive producers. Winners are expected to promote their films and job opportunities at the Job Fair and receive additional support like equipment hire, mentoring, and marketing. Additionally, all exhibitors at the Job Fair, including fund winners, can receive an extra £1,000 for their company.
